Challenge

Budget is the biggest barrier for a public school to provide one device per student in a classroom. When devices are shared, students can’t express their individual opinions effectively and this leads to dull discussions during lessons.

Solution

The cost of chromebooks was a third of other popular devices in the market and this enabled Gakugei University High School to have devices for every student in the classroom. The lessons were more engaging as students contributed more thoughtful opinions. They could analyze information and express themselves in a way that is natural for the current generation - collaborating online.
